Deborah Liguori, a PhD student of WIT at the Public University of Navarra, recently completed a three-month internship at the Istituto di Chimica dei Composti Orgganometallici (ICCOM-CNR) in Florence, Italy, under the guidance of Professor Claudio Sangregorio. Deborah's research focused on synthetising and characterizing high-entropy antiferromagnetic monoxides. Notably, she had the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Beatrice Muzzi, a specialist in high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HTEM). This internship provided valuable hands-on experience, new techniques and networking opportunities with field experts.

This young researcher obtained one of the eight PhD positions that were granted in the first call of the WIT-Welcoming International Talent Programme, specifically in the area of Energy-Development of advanced materials and technologies for energy production. In April 2023 she joined the group of Physical properties and applications of materials that belong to the Science Departament and the Research Institute for Advanced Materials and Mathematics (INAMAT2) of the UPNA. She develops her research work under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Alberto López Ortega.
