The Welcoming International Talent (WIT) fellowship program has allowed 16 doctoral students to advance in their training and research career in Navarra. These young researcher who are part of the project are supported for three years to develop their projects.

📢 WIT Fellows' outcomes are piling up! Our researchers are unstoppable 🚀

WIT is thrilled to share a wave of recent milestones achieved by our amazing PhD candidates and the new Doctor:

  • New Doctor in the Program: Alisson García-Herrera has defended her PhD thesis 'Behavioural modeling and operational optimization of crowdshipping systems in urban last-mile delivery logistic'. A heartfelt congratulations on completing this demanding journey, and looking forward to see what the future holds for you, in line with the excellence you have demonstrated so far.

  • Global presence in Ireland: three of our researchers in antennas presented their works at the conference EuCAP 2026 at the end of April. Good work Junaid Ahmed Uqaili, Daniyal Ali Sehrai and Syed Nazim Shah! Keep going and making the most of every opportunity!

  • Best Presentation Award for Haseeb Shaikh at the 26th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE2026) in Opole, Poland. It was his first presentation at a conference, and he won an award!!

  • Sara Lorenzoni has been recognized with the Women in Pharmaceutical Sciences Award at the Joint EUFEPS-SITELF Annual Meeting 2026, held in Naples, Italy, at the end of May; she also presented a work on neuroblastoma and organized the 4th European PhD Student competition along with the rest of the members of the Young Section Committee of EUFEPS.
