Daniyal Ali Sehrai advances his research at the prestigious ESoA course on Arrays and Reflectarrays

Daniyal Ali Sehrai participated in the European School of Antennas (ESoA) course 'Arrays and Reflectarrays', held at UCLouvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, from 31 August to 4 September 2026.

This intensive five-day international program provided advanced training in the analysis, design, and application  of antenna arrays and reflectarray systems, covering both fundamental concepts and state-of-the-art developments in the field. The course brought together doctoral researchers, academics, and industry specialists from across Europe, fostering scientific exchange and discussions on current challenges and emerging technologies in modern antenna engineering.

The knowledge and expertise gained through this training directly support ongoing research activities in antenna arrays, beamforming techniques, and applied electromagnetics. Daniyal is currently developing his PhD thesis on 'Improved Metsurface Radar Sensors' at the Antenna Group of the UPNA, under the supervision of Dr. Iñigo Ederra and Dr. Juán Carlos Iriarte.

This training was organized by the European School of Antennas (ESoA), a prestigious international network driving excellence in antenna and propagation, a benchmark with over 20 years of experience, to complement PhD curricula by facilitating advanced training and the exchange of ideas among young researchers and top trainers. Attending these courses not only strengthens the technical capabilities of our researchers, but also reinforces connections to the wider European scientific community.
