2022 First call results

  • ELEGIBILITY CHECK:

  • PRE-SELECTION PHASE:

    In this phase a maximum of 10 applications will be pre-selected for each of the four WIT areas. The evaluation of the applications will be carried out by an Evaluation Panel of 12 experts. Each application will be evaluated by 3 experts, one of whom shall have an industrial (non-academic) profile. The score obtained in this phase will only be used to move on to the next phase and will be independent to the score obtained in the second phase.

  • FINAL SELECTION PHASE:

    After the final list of pre-selected applications has been published, applicants accessing the Final Selection Phase will be required to prepare and submit the following documents:

                1. Research Proposal: A template will be available on the website (SEE BELOW THIS SECTION)

                2. Ethics self-assessment: A template will be available on the website (SEE BELOW THIS SECTION)

    These documents should be submitted electronically through the website and within a non-extendable period of 30 days ( 01-30 September).
     

  • ​​​INTERVIEWING PHASE:​​​​​

    After the publication of the final list on Friday 9 December, the selected candidates will receive an email with the date and time for an online interview with the PI of the selected research group and two members of the Evaluation Panel. The interviews will take place the weeks of 12 and 19 December.

    The 16 selected candidates will be required to have a personal interview with the principal researcher from the chosen research group along with two members from the Evaluation Panel. The interview will be by videoconference. Prior to the interview, the candidate will be required to apply for admission to their chosen PhD programme. This will ensure that there are no circumstances that would make it unfeasible for the candidate to enrol in the PhD programme

TEMPLATES FOR THE FINAL SELECTION PHASE


After the definitive list of pre-selected applications has been published, applicants accessing the final selection phase will be required to prepare and submit the following documents:

1. Research Proposal: Candidates must use the Template.

2. Ethical self-assessment form: each candidate for the WIT Programme will be asked to complete the self-assessment form based on the tick-box ethical assessment used in H2020 proposals and ethics plan to ensure the compliment with applicable ethical standards. Template.
