2022 First call results

• ELEGIBILITY CHECK:

  • 🧾 Provisional list of eligible and non eligible candidates​​​​​​: Applicants will have a period of 7 calendar days to submit their amended applications through the website, from 22 to 28 of June (24:00 h. CEST). After that period of time, the definitive list of eligible and non-eligible candidates will be published.

• PRE-SELECTION PHASE:

  In this phase a maximum of 10 applications will be pre-selected for each of the four WIT areas. The evaluation of the applications will be carried out by an Evaluation Panel of 12 experts. Each application will be evaluated by 3 experts, one of whom shall have an industrial (non-academic) profile. The score obtained in this phase will only be used to move on to the next phase and will be independent to the score obtained in the second phase.

  • 🧾 Provisional lists of pre-selected and non pre-selected candidates: Applicants have a period of 5 business days, from 00:00 hrs (CEST+2) on August 03 to 24:00 hrs. (CEST+2) on August  09 2022 to make allegations against the lists.

• FINAL SELECTION PHASE:
  
  After the final list of pre-selected applications has been published, applicants accessing the Final Selection Phase will be required to prepare and submit the following documents:

              1. Research Proposal: A template will be available on the website (SEE BELOW THIS SECTION)

              2. Ethics self-assessment: A template will be available on the website (SEE BELOW THIS SECTION)
  
  These documents should be submitted electronically through the website and within a non-extendable period of 30 days ( 01-30 September).
   

  • ​​​​​​​ 🧾Provisional list of selected and non-selected candidates (29 November):  Applicants will also be notified by e-mail of the publication of the lists and will receive the evaluation report of their application, allowing a period of five business days to make allegations (until 07 December).

• ​​​INTERVIEWING PHASE:​​​​​
  
  After the publication of the final list on Friday 9 December, the selected candidates will receive an email with the date and time for an online interview with the PI of the selected research group and two members of the Evaluation Panel. The interviews will take place the weeks of 12 and 19 December.
  
  The 16 selected candidates will be required to have a personal interview with the principal researcher from the chosen research group along with two members from the Evaluation Panel. The interview will be by videoconference. Prior to the interview, the candidate will be required to apply for admission to their chosen PhD programme. This will ensure that there are no circumstances that would make it unfeasible for the candidate to enrol in the PhD programme

  • Final proposal: here it is the final list. Now, applicants who have been ranked in the first 8 positions must accept the fellowship submitting the aceptation form designed for it. If applicants fail to submit this document will be considered to have withdrawn their application:
